Microsoft Dynamics Suite
The Story
Karya is where the real journey began — the junior iOS role that came through right when I'd nearly left the industry for bank exams. They built around Microsoft Dynamics and wanted mobile apps on top.
This was the pre-Swift, pre-UICollectionView era. If you wanted something that didn't look like stock Apple, you built it yourself, and I always wanted things to look fresh.
Core Engineering Work
- 01Mobile Dynamics NAV — a split-view, master-detail iPad app over multiple NAV modules, using REST, JSON, Protocol Buffers, and even SOAP for data.
- 02Dynamics Mobile CRM and Reports Porter, the latter with a barcode scanner wired into product checkout.
- 03Hand-built collection views, carousels, navigation transitions, and tab bars with Core Animation — before the system frameworks offered them.
- 04A delivery app with real-time route calculation and live map tracking via Google APIs, well before that was common.
- 05Built complete vertical demos end to end — a restaurant order-taking app and an airline booking flow — both preserved as product walkthrough videos below.
Analytics & Retention
After a year I'd hit the ceiling of what enterprise client work allowed — the creativity lived only in the UX layer. Wanting a product that reached millions is what pushed me toward CricHQ.
