Infor M3 Suite

The Story

I joined LeanSwift as the only mobile developer. They were an Infor M3 ERP services company that wanted to move into mobile, and they handed me a blank page: build the platform, build the team, build the products, build the distribution.

I built a prototype to convince senior management, got the budget, and grew it from there. For a few years I was product owner, scrum master, tech lead, and architect at the same time.

Core Engineering Work

  • 01Designed the whole architecture — UI layer, backend integration with M3 microservices, local storage, offline sync, push notifications, and the functional flows on top. Every backend call was a typed message over one shared networking core — around seventy operations, from inventory counts to manufacturing orders — with multi-connector OAuth refresh handled invisibly.
  • 02Worked with M3 consultants to understand ERP modules, and with backend engineers to create the microservices that fed the apps.
  • 03Grew the team from one to more than ten — iOS engineers, a designer, QA — and mentored as we went.
  • 04Set up CI/CD, App Store licensing and distribution, and the release cadence that shipped modules version after version.
  • 05Shipped the suite localized in English, Japanese, and Swedish, with barcode capture through both the camera and paired Bluetooth hardware scanners for warehouse-speed entry.
  • 06Built the field-warehouse trio — Inventory Counting, Goods Receiving, and a Merchant Metals Proof of Delivery app that loaded the delivery manifest, captured receiver signatures plus on-site photo and ship-ticket scans, and generated the M3 invoice on approval — collapsing deliver-to-bill from days of paperwork into one on-site flow, offline-tolerant through Core Data so dead zones on the route never blocked a driver.

Analytics & Retention

I flew to the USA repeatedly to sit with clients, understand their operations, and bring requirements home as concrete product plans. Two of those trips lined up with WWDC 2017 and 2018, where I met Apple engineers on M3 integration and the Objective-C to Swift migration.

Proof of Delivery

Built for US steel-fence distributor Merchant Metals: drivers work the delivery manifest line by line — reconciling delivered against ordered quantities with per-line notes — then capture site photos, scan the paper ship ticket page by page, and take the receiver's signature on screen. Approving the delivery generates the M3 invoice and emails confirmation, turning a paper POD slip into a same-minute billing event.
